Awhile back, I applied to become an affiliated photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep program. This program provides families with a photographer free of charge during one of the most trying moments in a person's life. The families who use this program are usually saying goodbye to their child, whether it be at birth or several years of age. The photographers provide priceless images to families who are losing a child and I have been accepted into the program. I'm very honored to be able to be part of such an amazing program. I am at the very beginning stage of my affiliation with the program and am excited to get this going so that my name will be available to families in need.
I know this won't be an easy thing to do and I am prepared for that. But the idea of giving a family a picture they will hold onto forever is something very special. I just wanted to keep you all posted on this journey!
That's great, Michelle. That type of service is one that those families who lose a child will really appreciate, I am glad you can help them during such a sad time.
ReplyDeleteI just went to that website and now I am crying. I can't ever imagine losing a child, that is my WORST fear. I couldn't imagine what it would be like. What a wonderful thing for you to do Michelle. You are able to capture what they have lost so they have the photos to look at forever.
