Jake is growing up! | MN Baby Photographer

With each passing month, these little guys who are on my baby's first year program just grow bigger and less baby-like. I know these are not my babies, but I feel a tiny bit saddened with each new milestone session because they truly are growing up in front of my eyes. When I first met Jake, he was just a tiny thing with gigantic blue eyes and a smile to die for. Ok, so he still has gigantic blue eyes and a smile to die for but just look at how big he's getting, and how handsome!





I just love this shot. It's so peaceful and sweet. What a lovely little family!



Jake was slightly less smiley today but I think it's because he's so curious and amazed by all these new scenes. Whatever it was, it was cute!

Like many of you I have a growing concern for the state of the Gulf Coast. I'm sure at this point mostly everyone has heard of the huge oil spill on the Gulf Coast that is affecting the shoreline and all the animals who reside in the area. It breaks my heart to see such devastation and it makes me feel very tiny and helpless. I pondered and pondered over how I could even make the slightest difference in that ginormous problem. I know I can't clean it up, nor do I have the funds to bring that to reality, but I can donate to the efforts. And so can you! From now until the end of June, if you book a Lifetime Session with me I will donate 10% ($50) of the proceeds to the NRDC's Gulf Coast Fund. To make the deal just a little sweeter I will also throw in 3 Leather Cover Mini Accordian Albums for you to share with your families ($60 value).

Your session must be completed by August 31st 2010 and the entire fee of $500, as well as a signed contract, is due upon booking for your donation to be made. All donations will be made in the client's name.

Alright, so life got away with me and didn't get around to posting the details about voting for the contest! Ooops, oh well. I'm here now, right? So here's the 411 on how to win. Voting starts tonight at 5pm CST. Tell all your friends to head on over to my Facebook Fanpage, they must become a "follower" to participate. Tell them to go to your photo and put the word "vote" in the comment section. Only one "vote" per fan/person will be counted. Voting will end Tuesday night at 11:59 so any "votes" that are timestamped before 5pm on 4/12 and after 11:59 on 4/13 after will not be counted.

Just a quick note, competition gets fierce on these contests so I would try to rally everyone you know! Good luck and the winner will be announced on Wednesday after I tally the results!

Reed Family | Photography in Minnesota

Meet the Reed Family! Mom, Lindsay, was the winner of my Valentine's Contest in February and she was cashing in on her prize! I went out to their home for a session with 2 incredibly adorable kids!

Brady is 2 and Rylinn is 4. Seriously, I just adore their cheeks!



Brady LOVES sports. He was so awesome at basketball too. He would say "dibble dibble dibble" then he'd shoot and if he didn't make it he would say "almost". Seriously, I got such a kick out of him!





And Rylinn is all girl. She loves playing with her dolls and dressing up. We had fun playing and she could spell all sorts of things for me! Smart little lady!

And of course last but not least, a shot of the two watching Wow, Wow Wubzy! A favorite show amongst the preschool crowd!



It was so great to finally meet you Lindsay and your adorable babes. I had a blast with them!

Yesterday I got to meet an incredibly sweet little 3 month old baby boy. He had such curious eyes and a calm nature about him. I truly enjoy these baby sessions, with 3 toddlers/preschoolers at home, it's nice to visit with a baby once in a while!

Meet little Miss A. Miss A's mom is an old friend from high school and thanks to Facebook, we have reconnected. She contacted me so that I could take Miss A's 18 month pictures. Of course I jumped on the chance at seeing her again and meeting her family!

Isn't she just darling? She's got the most beautiful eyes if you ask me!

This is her brother, Mr. A! He's a 3 1/2 year old adorable little boy. He is such a smarty too, I enjoyed talking with him!
