When I announced the contest for reaching 550 fans on FB, I didn't know what to expect and didn't know who would enter.  I was pleasantly surprised to find so many current and past clients wanting to enter.  That's a true test of their satisfaction with MSP.  I feel honored and so lucky to have this career and so many supporting fans, clients, friends and of course family.  

It was nice to hear tidbits of information in some of the entries, telling me why they wanted, or needed to win.  I truly wish I could give away a session to each of you but I have a feeling my husband (and my kids) would be upset if I only worked for free!

Michelle Sauer Photography Summer Contest!!!

I know you've all been waiting for another contest! I love contests ALMOST as much as I love seeing all my reader's photos!

I got this idea from my sister in law who hosts bi-monthly photo hunt contests, you can find her over here. I thought it would be fun to make you work for your prize (we'll get to that in a minute). So here's the deal. I'm going to be hosting a super duper, mini photo hunt. I'm going to give you a list of 3 items to find and photograph. Once you find any or all on the list, submit your picture(s) to me at msauerphotography@gmail.com. Then I will put a poll up and the voting will begin.

Once the poll has closed, I will take the top 3 from each category and open a new poll for everyone to vote again on their favorite.

SOOO, what's the prize you ask? Well, this is going to be good.

1st prize: 1 free session with up to 2 people (additional people may be added for $10 each) and your entire session (25-30 edited proofs) on a disc. This has a value of $260!

2nd prize: 1 free session with up to 2 people and an 11x14 print of your choice from your session. This has a value of $125!

3rd prize: A 30 minute mini-session and a free 8x10 print of your choice from your session. This has a value of $65!

Now for the good part, the categories! Don't be afraid to get creative with these too! The more creative, the better! And please, you don't have to know about photography to snap a photo, all you need is a camera and a little creativity!

What makes it even more special is that each of these pictures holds so much meaning for you and they make you smile. That is what I try to accomplish each time I go for a session. Photos create such nostalgia, they can bring you back to a specific moment in time and stir up such emotion.

March Greeblemix Contest!

The theme this month is LUCKY, meaning a great picture you got by pure accident. I am having a really hard time choosing. My recent favorite picture is the one of Bennett saying "bubba", you can find that one here. But since I entered that one in another contest, I think I'm going with this one:

Which also happens to be the blog banner. Why is this my lucky shot you may ask? Well, when I snapped this picture on our vacation in Florida, I could tell that right out of the camera it was a keeper. It wasn't until I uploaded it was it truly evident that I got LUCKY! Enlarge the picture and check out Ms. Bianca's eyes. You will then see why I was lucky. This is one of my most favorite shots I've ever taken of one of my kids. I hope you all like it too!
